I noticed that women tend to panic pretty quickly in an emergency situation and I was just wondering why (and how ) men stay so calm at times like these.
Why don't guys panic and cry like women do

I really think that they do........I think they aren't as tender hearted as we are.

I don't think that's a fair assessment.
I've seen men fall apart while women keep it together amazingly well. I was an EMT and saw messy stuff, as you can imagine.
This isn't a man/woman thing. It's a people thing. Some folks are built for emergencies and some aren't.

When an emergency happens you still have to act. You do what has to be done and worry about the shakes and vomiting after its over. It's up to you how you respond but I can't let somebody be harmed by inaction so I do what I can.

In some cases.. My BF is a paramedic and can handle some tough things...
I guess men are taught to not show their emotions....
In general, I run around like a headless chicken....Every now and then I calm down and can see straight...

Gender is irrelevant in this question - you will get equal support for both sides FROM both sides.
Calmness, personality type, experience with emergencies, stress level, sleep deprivation... those would be appropriate variables.

i disagree i think women take control in emergency - they are more level headed and can think better and quicker than a man

cuz men think its there responsibility to handle and.... and every women know when they cry sum guy is going to help them ....always....

no , gals hold up better, they see blood, alot i do not, i faint, sorry i am a guy wuss that faints at the sight of red stuff,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
