i found "hitchhikers guide to the galaxy" to be so FUNNY, i like the robot series from issac asimov, "1984" "animal farm" if you havent read them yet. "macbeth" and "ceasar" are good if your into shakespeare and plays. the bookd "the godfather" pretty great, better then the movie, hope u like these even though none of them seem to fit in with stepehn king

Try The Good House by Tananarive Due (slightly scary, very well written).
Also anything by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child (you'll find them in the mystery section at the bookstore, but they're more intriguing than your average mystery).
Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder was also excellent- a fantasy without being too fantasy-like, and I couldn't put it down!

Try Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin if you are up for epic fantasy.
or The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold will break your heart and amaze you.
If you like a good mystery, any of Sue Grafton's Alphabet Mysteries or Patricia Cornwall's Scarpetta mysteries are great!

all of the Dan Brown books are exciting. Also you might like Mary Higgins Clark, great mysteries with surprise endings. If you can take some gore there is always James Patterson. Patricia Cornwell is good, she writes about a pathologist(Kay Scarpetta) who solves crimes. Those are just a few. I am an avid reader.

I read some werid stuff. The last I read was:

Peter Pan (the original novel and gosh did Tinkerbell hate Wendy)

I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell (raunchy, wrong, and womanizing)

The Da Vinci Code (disliked the ending)

Alice In Wonderland (love that book)
