Can you put songs onto an iPod Nano from two different computers?

My friend purchased an iPod Nano (4GB) as an early Christmas/B-day present for me, and he has it right now and is going to ship it to me in a few days. He wants to put some songs on it for me..., then of course, I'll add all the songs I have in my iTunes to it. Is there any problems with this? Does the iPod allow this? I don't want to put the songs he put on there onto my computer. I'm just wondering if it will cause problems. Anyone with iPod experience please help.. I have none! Hehe thanks!

I have an ipod nano and everytime i want to add a song to a new playlist or a current playlist that playlist of songs has to be on the computer. So if he puts the songs on there from his computer than u go to plug it into itunes on your computer it will show that all of his songs are still on there but once you go to update it you have to have his songs already saved in your playlist. so when you go to sync new music you have to check the boxes of all the playlist you want to still keep on your ipod. and if it was made on his computer you wont have his playlist saved. So the songs will stay on ur ipod until your ready to add new songs than they will be deleted.Unless you can find a way to get his playlist saved to your itunes account. Maybe you should share an itunes account. Than what ever songs he saves you will be able to have the playlist ready and not have to re-download them.
