I just bought a candle plate as a centerpiece for my table and they have the sticker smack in the middle of the plate. It's glass I got most of the paper from the sticker off, but not the sticky part. It looks ugly & not very becoming for a table center piece any suggestions?

Goo Gone

You can also pour some veg. oil on it, let it sit overnight, then scrape off w/ a flat edge (like a scraper from Pampered Chef Stoneware)

There's a product called Goo-Gone that will work. You can get it a grocer or hardware store. Also, WD-40 would do the same thing. Put a little on the sticky spot. wait a few mins. then wipe off. Repeat if necessary

Goo Gone takes too much rubbing. The best thing I have found is called GOOF OFF. It's wonderful. Works on candle wax, gum, crayon, scuff marks, lipstick, glue, dried latex paint, glue, adhesive, etc. etc. etc. Found it at Lowes or Home Depot I think. It's a yellow can with red writing. Good Luck.

Eeyore, I can guarantee the best thing to use with stickers on dishes is regular nail polish remover (not the non acetone kind). Put some on and let it sit for a bit then rub it off.

Hi,
Try some Witch's Piss (W-D 40) that will take it off, and I know that most likely your husband has some, some place.

Sorry, I have tried dish soap and it don't work very well, unless you put the plate in hot, hot water and let it soak, it may come off then, but WD-40 works awesome.

Goo-Gone works great for taking up the glue. You could also use alcohol or lighter fluid if you have some on hand. There is also a product called Goof Off that works great as well.

The first stuff on the first answer will work, but also try some rubbing alcohol on tissue or spray a cloth with WD40, that stuff is super. I keep a can all the time.

I use a heat gun (crafter's) to rewarm the adhesive and it just peels right off, no mess. If you don't have one you can try a hot blow dryer. Happy Holidays & Good Luk
