My friend has lied to me and I have forgiven them. I'm still friends with this person but I don't trust her like I used to. No further than I can see her. I forgave, but I can't seem to forget.

First you need to find out why they lied and work through it and then get past it. If it turns out they were lying because they didnt want to hurt you thats one thing but if they lied to use you that is another. In the end you have to decide but yes I agree everyone deserves a second chance.

I would forgive them because Ive lied before and I wanted to be forgiven so why not do the same for them that I would want if it was me?

all depends on the lie, if it impacted you , and you have to try to rebuild the trust, , this is a difficult question, because some lies are no forgivable, while others are, and only you can choose
