I feel bamboozled, lol.
The teachers said we'd need it. I havent used it one bit since graduating high school 9 years ago.

There's no need to use it in everyday life unless your like a scientist or an engineer or something. All I need is basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). I don't even know why they bother teaching Algebra.
Your teacher was full of snot for saying you needed it.

I have to be honest with you - I do not use truth tables and don't ever expect to use them - same goes for algebraic expressions for the most part. I know it's hard to get through right now if you're still in high school, but coming from a teacher candidate's standpoint, I think that these types of math problems are preparing your mind to think critically about the world around you. The most useful thing you gain out of college is how to critically think - you don't even realize you don't know how to do that until you learn! Hang in there - and if you're already out in the "real world".... sucks not having to use that crap doesn't it?

My friends and I sit around discussing the quadratic equation on a daily basis. No. Not really. Teachers are big liars--I know because I was one once.

I wish I made better ideal judgements in the previous. If that were to ensue, i does no longer have a poor decision in acquaintances, i might want to be in a better ideal tutorial instiute, i might want to be a touch better financially solid, and that i might want to nonetheless be with my ex female friend. Too undesirable all that is unimaginable.

My husband uses algebra every day in his job. I can't even remember what it is. He is an engineer.
