Alright this is whats up...
I have the bigger PS2(not the new skinny one)
I have dial-up(yes some ppl still use it)
My Computer is in a different room then my PS2(although I could put them in the same room)
I went to a video game store and he said I could hook up my phone line to my PS2, yet there was no place for me to hook my phone line up. What all do I need? And how much will all this stuff cost?

I'm sure I need this ethernet thing so I'm going to go ahead and ask what is the ethernet? and also should I get a better internet connection, since dialup will prolly be slow.

Any help would be sweet, thanks!

Yes you need the network adapter.
Yes you need Highspeed Internet connection the games will suck otherwise and you might not be able to play most of them without it.
You will also need a router so your computer and PS2 can be connected at the same time.
You should probably consider wireless router since they are in different rooms.
If you go wireless you will need special wireless adapters to plub into the computer and PS2
