I would give him something priceless, my time, just to chat, go to lunch, a walk. Just good quality time. You could make him a coupon book with all those things in it, so he could turn them in at will. Think of at least 12 things. There is nothing like time with your Dad, I would give anything to hug mine just one more time.

Amber, one year we had everyone in the family, including aunts, uncles, and cousins to write something on a notecard that was funny or memorable about my aunt and then we made a scrapbook with the notecards and put a picture of the person who wrote it. She laughed and cried and loved it. Now we look back at it and this scrapbook is very special to her because her son was killed in a car wreck and his card was in there. You can also make a blanket with a family picture on it like grandkids or a picture of you and him when you were small. At 63, you want gifts like these that are family oriented. If he isn't family oriented, maybe some nice slippers with a robe, a massage cushion, or have an oil painting done. Merry Christmas....

A chair massager pad if his favorite chair doesnt have one would be a great idea. Go to a local gadget shop or fine furniture store and request one. Some come with heater, too. Or Brookstone.com or Sharperimage.com may still have them. Those online stores may also help youwith ideas, too

Clothes. Hair Brushes. Shampoo. Tooth brushes and tooth paste. Food. A good book. Puzzles, like visual ones and logic ones. Just money (if nothing else).
