A.D. is after B.C. You can tell from the name. A=After. B=Before. C and D is the time referencing to Christ.
Here's an excerpt from wiki:

"Anno Domini (Latin: "In the year of (Our) Lord[1]"), abbreviated as AD, defines an epoch based on the traditionally-reckoned year of the conception or birth of Jesus of Nazareth. Similarly, Before Christ (from the Ancient Greek "Christos" or "Anointed One", referring to Jesus), abbreviated as BC, is used in the English language to denote years before the start of this epoch. Some non-Christians use the abbreviations AD and BC without intending to acknowledge the Christian connotation. Some people prefer the alternatives 'CE' and 'BCE', arguing that they are more neutral terms. "

B.C. is means before christ (if you believe in Him) and then A.D. comes starting with the birth of Christ. Everythign leading to Christ's birth is B.C. Everything after is called A.D. also standing for Anno Domini as mentioned in the Wikipedia article.

Hope this helps!

After - but you might want to check on how much after, because I have heard that there are some people who believe that Jesus's life is sandwiched in between BC and AD and is not a part of either.

After - BC is Before Christ, and AD is for Anno Domini, which means "Year of the Lord," and began around the time of Christ's birth.
