The results of World War I would be important factors in the development of World War II 21 years later.

The immediate Causes of World War II are generally held to be the German invasion of Poland, and the Japanese attacks on China, the United States, and the British and Dutch colonies. In each of these cases, the attacks were the result of a decision made by authoritarian ruling elites in Germany and Japan. World War II started after these aggressive actions were met with an official declaration of war, armed resistance or both.

WWII offically started after germany and japan acted aggressively on their neighbors. However, feelings of resentment especially those harbored by germany because of the reperations they were being forced to pay and the fact that they were not allowed to raise arms and create a large naval fleet. When everyone realized what was going on the league of nations choose not to do anything about it and they choose not to do anything about the japanese invasion on manchuria. So the league of nations unwillingness and their inability to control these two countries also helped lead to world war two.
