You could find a local theater, and take theater/drama in college.

The main thing you can do right now is get out there! Wherever it is that you live, go to the theatres in the area and see when auditions are. Sometimes they are printed in the local paper or on the web. A lot of plays and musicals have parts for everyone, including beginners. Even if you want to act in movies and TV, theatre is a great start. Learn a monologue, work at it and audition with it. A song too, if you are a singer. Peform them for friend and family (or pets) to get comfortable. Student films also are a great place to learn. Since you don't have experience, a resume is not necessary. Just be honest with people and tell them how excited you are to learn. Acting classes would be an excellent choice too. Don't worry about people laughing at you.... you want to be an actress right? Then get used to it. Making friends with similar interests is a benefit of classes too because you have things in common and they might know if projects to work on. If you have any more questions, feel free to message me!

Here's some advice I wish someone had told me when I was in high school. When you're in college, do internships in the entertainment industry! Go to school in Los Angeles or New York (preferably LA). Then while you're attending college, get an internship at an agent, a manager, or a casting office. Or do all three. You have 8 semesters in college. That's plenty of time to do 3 internships.

Through these internships you will learn how the entertainment industry works. You'll find out what you need to do after you graduate to get agency representation, which you will need in order to get acting jobs. Most importantly, you will make connections with professionals. Success in acting has as much to do with who you know as it does with talent - maybe more.

Hey This is what I said to another question of the same nature.
Hope this helped!

"You mean an agent.. I'll warn you it's very hard to make it in the business, and nearly impossible to be a star. But you can get the training and the drive you seem to have.

If you're one of those teens that sees being famous as a cool thing, and want to pose on magazine covers, then this is not for you.. It takes work, hard - work, well not everyone has to work hard (eg. Jessica Simpson)but they all go through the same hoops..
The director might see someting special about you and give youa bigger role, but the chances are pretty slim.

However, you can make a good income acting, not steady, but get work and make a fair living by doing extra parts in movies or television work.

First thing you need to do is; Get a resume together, get some acting training so you have something to put on your resume. Then go to photo studio and get a number of headshots taken, send out headshots nd your resume to numerous agencies, and hope one picks you up... If they make you pay to be part of there agency, they're wrong, and keep looking for a better agent.... A good agency will take a percent of your money that you make from work, this is how you pay them... I'd start with an extra agency, and then find a specialized agent.
I have an agent, but I deplore him, he never gives me any work almost and yeah...
I'm not a part of an extra agency but want to be because my friend gets small and good jobs from that, not starring roles but a step into the business.... I know I've sounded really negative up and till now, but all the girls 10 or 11 year olds see HilaryDuff and go, I want to be famous!!!!! But the thing is it doesn't work like that, some people have the right look to be on television (I don't have the starring role look, I have a theatre look) or in a movie as the main role... It's mostly flukes, if you're at the right audition, the right agent, the right time, the right age, the right height, the right build, everything matters... You can have NO talent and get tons of roles... I'm never going to be on the cover of teen people, but I love what I do, and I love to sing and act and dance.... I prefer stage, because even though its still a competetive business, people are better actors who act on the stage... Acting on stage is totally different then movies. YOu use your body with theatre and use your mouth with television.

You have to love waiting hours for auditions, taking time off from school (not that that is too hard), memorizing stuff, being a puppet, doing what they tell you, listening, not getting a break, having to look perfect, then maybe! MAYBE the camera will take a shot of you so you can point yourself out to your friends.

But you know what, I think it's worth it, the pains, the waits, for that one moment of stardom maybe, plus the money's great! Not steady but really good.

I don't model, but I sing.

I am also a singer, I sing opera and classical.. I've been told I have a very beautiful voice... I've done a few gigs, singing at university graduations, concerts, shows, musical theatre shows etc..... You need to get good a voice teacher, someone who even if you don't have a good voice can make you sound good with one song. If you do have an awesome voice then you should do all the gigs (after a couple years) you can, maybe enter a talent show in your community, try to get noticed, get a card together, get some work at weddings, however I'd wait until our about 15 or 16 till you start doing weddings, but it really depends what kind of voice you have. I forgot to mention you really need to know the business start asking around start searshing on the interent, get familiar with what you're walking into.

Personally, I love acting and do a lot of stage work, but my passion is singing and I want to pursue that.
Make sure you get a awesome voice teacher, and don't forget to take dance lessons.... And improve your skills in all areas because if you have a special skill they're more apt to hire you for a role.

Good - luck, and the acting business can be mean.
Don't give up, but don't think you're going to be a star with the click of your finger either, it can happen but rarely.
All success usually comes from hard work. And luck, and connections, who you know etc...
Get training and make sure you can act when you get hired for a role... The most important thing you need to remember is listen to your director, don't be an idiot and act like you're too good to be in the back of the row.. Your time will come to shine and don't expect it to come without work.... It's the star of the show's moment to shine, don't steal there moment.
Good - luck! And be invisible as an extra.. And take all the work you can get! Don't give up! It's hard but it's worth it!

hi there!
i'm in the same position as you. i'm 14 and i live in australia so i'm guessing you live in america or somewhere. well, i won't lie to you. the acting business is really hard to break through. millions of people want to act, for the fame, for the money, for the glamour for everything they could ever dream about. but it's not that easy. i myself, am currently joined with drama classes and take them weekly. to break into the acting business, the first thing you'll need to do is create a good resume, one that states all your acting experiences. send them to acting agencies or agents around your area. there are a lot of agencies that take children, so you wouldn't need a resume, since your a kid. (i'm under that profile). afterwards, they may choose to accept or forget you but dont worry, they do this everyday and they always reject people so don't feel rejected if they don't accept. you may not be what they are looking for. another important thing in acting is too never take anything personally. directors need to look through and interview thousands of people who want to be famous so you're not going to get the role you want everytime. the next thing that happens, is that you need to go to a lot of auditions! and i mean A LOT. you're not going to get a role on your first ever audition unless you are just absolutely FANTASTIC at acting. there are many professional actors out there who still attend auditions and not get the role. it happens. you need to look at acting realistically, not like a fantasy. it's NOT easy but it's not hard to believe in your self and achieve your goals, if you really want to. good luck to you! i'm joining a modelling and casting agency some time next week! can't wait!
