How do you remove mildew from shoes, especially suede?

I have several pairs of leather shoes with mildew, the Ecco's are my favorite and they're suede. How can I kill the mildew and the smell?

spray with vinagar inside and see what happens if njo good throw them out

I do not believe its possible, you would have to totally destroy the suede, so you mine as well throw them in the trash.
