I was in a cookie club for several years. I was asked to bring my cookies each year. Since chocolate covered cherries are synonymous with the season I make the cookie version.
Use your favorite brownie mix
instead of pouring the mixture in a pan add 1/2 cup additional flour or enough to make a dough. Drop teaspoon on cookie sheet, make a thumb print indention in center of each cookie, bake for 10 mins or until set. When cookie comes out of oven place a maraschino cherry on indentation. Cover top of cherry completely with melted chocolate chips.
I have tried the dark chocolate brownie mix and the dark chocolate chips versus the milk chocolate. Both are big hits in my club and so easy to make when your making 13 to 15 dozen to give out.
