I disagree. Treat your gut feeling like a first impression. Listen to it but be prepared to change your opinion quickly.

Not always, sometimes it been "conditioned" to react to certain things. I dated a few jerks, so there were some things that gave me that "gut reaction". I met a new guy, and I would get that "gut feeling" if he didn't call back right away, if he was working late, etc. But I kept telling myself "this one is different" and I gave him the benefit of the doubt. And he proved to be different! He is NOT a jerk!
Your gut can be wrong, depends on your life experiences.

Usually, but you have to make sure you are thinking straight and really listening to your gut. I think its hard when it comes to relationships with the people closest to you because you always want to believe the best about those you love. Or, and this is worse, if you tend to be oversensitive and overreact you can't trust your gut with those closest to you (which can be my problem). Good luck to you.

i have had that guy feeling before. i had a gut feeling that my ex boyfriend was cheating on me but my heart was saying he could never do that to me. But i say go with your heart because in the end what if your gut feeling is wrong and you realize you make a huge mistake and if it turns out right it will only make you stronger. In the end, its up to you. Follow what you think is best.

I don't really think so, people have issues that need resolving. How do you know if the person is good or bad ar just putting on an act the first time you meet them?

no, if you rely on your gut feeling you could possibly miss out on wonderful relationships and/or you could end up in horrible, disastrous relationships. ya have a brain, but you got to use it.

Yep. I know when someone is cheating on me but my friends tell me not to be so negative and then when the truth comes out they act like it was a shock. So annoying.
