The leather dye caused 3 spots on my white sweater. I used different over night soaks that did not even dent the stain.

Look at it this way: if you leave it as-is, it's ruined right? So if it's allcotton or a cotton-linen blend (I assume so since you washed/dried it), use some Clorox in teh wash water.

If that doesn't work, dye the sweater a shade to match the stains using Rit dye. It's godo stuff!

You could try 1/3 cup of Javax & wash it on the long cycle or there's a product called Goo Gone it took tar & black oil paint off of my rug.I bought it in a hardware store.Good Luck!
