My brother is the biggest Beatles fan I know. He can tell you the subtle differences between different versions of songs, like how Paul takes a breath here on this cut and doesn't on this one. We used to think he'd never venture out and listen to other bands b/c he liked them so much.
I've managed to turn lots of my 9 year old students into Beatles fans. I used "All You Need Is Love" to teach rhyme and repitition to them for poetry. Now my students are divided up into 4 teams: John, Paul, George, and Ringo. It's fun saying, "Ringo, you may go to the restroom," and then watching 5 or 6 kids get up to go pee.
Have you been to Target recently? They have a Beatles shirt in the women's section for $9.99. Jump on it if you haven't already. :)

I like the Beatles because my parents gave me a good education. My father own their greatest hits (red and blue double albums) and '1', I like All you need is love, yellow submarine, strawberry fields forever is a great song, Hey Jude, Let it be, Octopuss' garden, Ob la di Ob la da, While my guitar gently weeps, free as a bird, Eleanor Rigby, Penny lane etc.
There is another that I hope you know, 'Real love', they recorded it in the Beatles 'era', but I don't think it ever appeared on a album then, in the mid 90's they did it again with the voice of the dead John Lennon as it was recorded years before! It is a great song, also one of my favourites.
Ringo Starr also have a few good songs of his own, my fav is 'Photograph', 'La di da'.
George also have a nice one 'Any road'
Paul have Flaming pie, callico skies, song we were singing, pipes of peace, live and let die, band on the run, hope of deliverence, off the ground,
John did Mother, woman, jealous guy etc.

I love the Beatles! I grew up listening to their music and still, to this day, have the White album, Abbey road, and Sgt pepper Cd's in my car.

Me! I have been into them since I was a kid, thanks to my parents having good taste in music, is probably the reason why I have such an vast taste in music! Abbey Road, Revolver and the White Album are my faves. I always thought their solo music all sounded like the Beatles, so why didnt they just stick it out (wondering).

The best and always will be. THE BEATLES are amazing and revolutionary and their music still sounds futuristic 40 years later.
