Yes it is normal:
"Return of menstruation following childbirth varies widely between individuals. The closer a woman's behavior is to the Seven Standards of ecological breastfeeding, the later (on average) her cycles will return. Average return of menses for women following all seven criteria is 14 months, with some reports as soon as 2 months and others as late as 42 months."

Yes, it is quite normal not to have a period while breast feeding. Ovulation can begin any time, however, especially as the baby approaches 6 months and begins to eat solid food. I breast fed 4 babies and did not have a period with any of them until they were weaned. It is wise to use a form of birth control while breast feeding as it is not a reliable method by itself.

It's completely normal. I didn't have one for over 9 months with my first child. Unfortunately, she could also be pregnant. If she is not using some sort of protection, she should buy a home test or go get a test done at the health clinic just to be sure.

Oh yes, I didn't get my period until after 8 mos. Although, it is possible to get pregnant, so she very well could be that too. If she's not pregnant she should get her period when she starts feeding her baby more other foods.

I don't think women get their period when they're breast feeding. My wife never did for our 3 kids.

Yes, many women do not have a period while breastfeeding. It's like god's little thank you for taking care of your baby so well.
