"Our study shows that psychotic patients prefer an authoritative leader," Christopher Lohse says. "If your world is very mixed up, there's something very comforting about someone telling you, 'This is how it's going to be'."
The study began in part as an advocacy project "designed to register mentally ill voters and encourage them" to vote, while assessing "knowledge of current issues, government and politics." The Bush trend emerged in the course of the study, according to Lohse, who describes himself as a "Reagan revolution fanatic" who nonetheless finds Bush "beyond the pale." During the course of the study, it emerged that "Bush supporters has significantly less knowledge about current issues, government and politics than those who supported Kerry," and that greater levels of psychosis predicted Bush support.

This is not a double-blind parallel-groups study that are customarily used in new medicines.
This is a bonafied observational study that is designed for researchers.
When considering the validity of a study's results, always ask: who funded this study? Are they neutral, or do they have a stake in the results? Are there potentials for bias, or conflicts of interest? Was the study peer reviewed?
Otherwise should observers accept the fact that George Bush's apple didn't fall far from the psychotic's tree?

Well, the study actually makes no specific reference to George Bush as a politician, leader policies etc.... It merely makes a link that people who are nuts, like the poster, identify with the person in charge. Following the posters logic, democrats just won all the leadership positions in the house and senate so their followers, who voted for them , similarly must be psychotic. All the study you quoted shows is that when peoples lives are in shambles, it makes them feel better when someone takes charge. ie. FDR in WW2, Winston Churchill, Rudy Guiliani after 911 A general on a big horse in the Civil War etc...It just so happens that they studied psychotics, who present a better study group than some random group of people. I imagine if you study the same group when a democrat is in charge, you'll get the exact same results. They're not voting for Bush, they're voting for the guy in charge, the one on TV, the one they are told is their leader. I wouldn't look into this study to much.. you may hurt yourself, sparky...

this article claims that because most psychotics agree with bush then most bush agreers are psychotic. this is supposed to be a "scientific" study but a simple vin diagram shows that if A is contained in B doesnt mean B is contained in A if you dont understand that take a math class. Study the poor and most vote democratic and Im sure if you do a study the conservative poor are more informed. so what does that say?

Unfortunately when you say Psychotics are His Biggest Supporters you just named over half of the american voters as Psychotics. So you have already done your self in junior. Another amazing factor is that Bush received so many democratic votes they myust be full of Psychotics also.
Now the people President is dealing with.
Psychotic #1- The president of Iraq ;His best support outside
of the US is a murdering thug dressed as an
Islamic preacher. This guy is responsible for
more of our troop deaths than anyone there.
Psychotic#2-The president of Iran. He avocates the death of all
Americans and jews. He denies the holocaust . He
wants ot build a Nuclear Bomb to send to THe US
Psychotic#3-The president of Pakistan; This guy is sopposed to
be our friend yet he made a deal with terrorist drug
lord tribesmens to support themand leave them
alone of they only killed americans and not attack
his troops.
Psychotic#4-The president of Indroneasia has opened hiss doors
to terrorist training camps disgused as islamic
cleric taught schools.
Psychotic#5-Dick Cheney; This vice president actuall thought his
friend the lawyer was a quail. I honestly do not think I
could turn down that opportunity either.
Considering his friends and enemies are too close to determine which is which I would think Bush has a good chance of making ripleys if he gets out with being shot.

particularly the choice, while you look using speaking factors by using way of the MSM, it would not take a college degree to appreciate it isn't any longer something extra desirable than political in nature and risk-free practices for pelosi. 2d, despite if cheney did do as you're saying, it wasn't even an carried out application first of all and in case you examine the regulation, it nevertheless gave the administrative branch the authorization to enforce it if desire be(and then tell congress). you spot, once you get attorneys making the regulations, they continually go away themselves "loopholes" for this very factor. so, if the regulation were written the way the dems wanted, then they might have a case...yet then, they might would desire to worry approximately all and sundry else in touch that "knew" what replaced into happening. ultimately, i've got faith the regulation replaced into for "heads of state", no longer extremist terrorists and that i'm of the opinion if we could have been doing this from the commencing up, we does no longer be entering into the time of the "gitmo" debacle....we does no longer have any detainees to be concerned approximately. yet lamentably...it is what occurs whilst human beings think of there are "morals" in "conflict" ...super answer "greatrightwing"...

Interesting, this study seems to have taken place with people who were known to have mental illness.
It's a warped study, without a cross section of "non-mentally ill."
Without factoring out "normal" responses to the same stimuli, the study is biased.
I suspect most people are comforted by a take action personality when their world is upside down.
I see this daily, as an attorney.

At least Bush needs support. I doubt you have anything down there that needs protection. I'm not going to your spam site. It's obvious how impressionable you are. This story of yours is totally fabricated. It never happened. It's amazing how gullible the left is. The people you vote into office don't care about you. They just find you easy targets. They tell you what you want to hear and you fall for it. Every single time. Enjoy what you have left for you are personally adding to it's demise.

Just because psychotics prefer an authoritative leader does not mean that Bush is psychotic or that all psychotics vote for him, but the anti-bush voters are usually more aware of politically important domestic and international issues, there is no denying that.
