All of a sudden that hose that goes with my kitchen sink barely sprays any water and there's no pressure. It used to turn off the actual faucet when used and now the water continues to flow out of the faucet and hardly goes thru the hose.

Plus, when I release the little trigger, it slooooowly turns off what little water is coming out of the hose. I've unscrewed it and see no obstruction. I see no leaks on the hose.

It could be that the nozzle head itself is clogged. Unscrew the tip of the nozzle and see.

If you live in an area where there's hard water then the excess minerals clog up nozzles and fixtures. That happens at my brother's house in Houston and they have to twist off all of their nozzles and fixtures every so often and soak them in a solution to dissolve the mineral deposits that build up.

Kitchen Sink Hose

I'd look under the sink to see if there is a kink in the hose, perhaps right where it is coming off the main water line. Or some obtruction in the pipe preventing the water from going into the pipe.

With little water pressure, the turn off will be slow. You could have lime build up on the spray nozzle. There could be something in the hose, a piece of plastic or pebbles from the water system.

The hose is clogged with small article's of rust, piecea of washers ect. You need to unloosen the head of the sprayer. It screws off like a shower head. Inside there should be a screen inside., clean sreen from depree. The handle or trigger has a plunger type washer. squeez the triger that may blow out the line. Ten try it when you put it back together. If it is still messed up. They are verlly cheep. YOu can get them at any hardware, do it yourself stores

It is the diverter valve under the spout. Remove the nut that holds the spout to the faucet, slowly twist the spout off, there is a small check valve sitting inside, take it to the plumbing shop and tell them what kind of faucet it came from, also pick up the o-rings that seal the spout, reverse the process.

Replace the diverter valve in the faucet body. Saw that on a DIY TV show.

The faucet may have a flow restrictor installed to save water. the flow restrictor is usually located in the aerator. remove the aerator and turn the faucet on full blast. If your pressure improves, then leave the aerator off or remove the flow restrictor. Some faucets, especially those spray hoses have the flow restrictor located in the base of the faucet spout, right where it goes into the faucet valve body. you would need to remove the spout in order to remove the flow restrictor

get under the sink and shut the water off. then take the hose off at the base and replace the unit. they just wear out from sediments and stuff in the water.

If cleaning diffuser doesn't work.... the spray nozzle can be replaced inexpensively... don't forget to turn water off before unscrewing nozzle.
