He will probably disappear from public life. He really doesn't seem all that comfortable in front of the cameras or speaking to a crowd. He does it and all but he just seems like a guy who would be more content to sit back at his ranch drink a few beers with his friends and go fishing. Well not the beer since he is a former alcoholic, but you get the point I hope

I dont think Bush will be too concerned about the real people in this country and will not do much of anything after retiring.

By the way, Carter did not disappear from the public light. He founded Habitat for Humanity, helps build homes. He founded the Carter Foundation, a charitable organization and he travels around the world promoting Democracy. The man is in his 80s and still is doing quite a bit.

I think the world is going to be too busy with the devastating Bush/Cheney national debt, the conflagration of scorched nations and war that they fanned, and the rise of religious fanaticism around the world and here among U.S. Evangelicals who have threatened to violently overthrow this government if their agendas are not made into legislation as Bush has promised them, to really care, or, ever respect, whatever Bush does for the rest of his life.

Really though who would want George W. to be involved in their political activities.
I wish he WOULD have waited to join in on political activities until after retirement... then mabey the US would still be respected by the rest of the world!

If he's smart - ok, smart given his rather low IQ - he'll go into seclusion and hiding for a few years. After the next president - a Democrat - gets things straightened out, he could start making public appearances. Until then, the best rule he could follow would be out of sight, out of mind.

Bush will probably be an advisor like Clinton and his father. There are many things Americans wanted to learn from him = The secret meeting between Cheney and Exxon
