With the Federal Census of 1920 and 1930 information would be available as to who was living in the household and their relationships. Libraries often carry the microfilm or can borrow from another library. Other public records such as birth certificates, death certificates, marriage records often have witnesses which could be kin or clues! Phone book from that time period would (not real likely) have a chance. Check out Rootsweb for tons of links and places to post lookup requests.
