if you are very much concerned of them from now, use any USB drive to store them. or just password protect your account and also if windows ask, personalize it. then keep everything into your my documents, she won't be able to steal them again.
You can also use softwares like "folder lock".
or, hide them into the C:\Windows\System32 folder anywhere, but, remeber, I don't advice you to do so, if you forget you won't yourself be able to locate those files, also it might corrupt the OS. so the better option is you use Yahoo briefcase or some USB drive or "folder lock"
