I recently rented a house that was bulit in 1994. When we turned on the gas furnace for the first time we noticed that no air flow was coming through the registars. There is a crawl space entrance in the master bedroom closet and heat was coming from there but not from any other registers in the house. When I contaced my landlord she said that all the houses in this subdivision were built without duct work and that the heat rises through the vents. I have never heard of this before. I don't know if it matters but the house is 1600 sf and is Indiana. I just wanted to know if this is true or is she trying to get out of fixing something. I have looked down in the crawl space and there are definately no ducts but with the house being fairly new I can't understand why anyone would have taken them out.... Thanks!!!!!
