My computer has been acting weird lately, and the other day a window popped up saying that the computer would restart in 5 minutes, and it gave me an option to cancel or to restart right away. After that it started shutting down randomly, and now it shuts down a few minutes after the computer restarts. I need to know what the problem is, and what can I do to fix it?

I do know that my windows in legal, and I recently installed norton antivirus. Every time I run a scan it tells me that there are no problems.

Also, I keep getting other error pop ups, and I don't know what they are for.

And sometimes when I turn on my computer the desktop doesn't load.

This sounds like the sasser virus that was going around a while ago. First you need to disinfect it http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/FxSasser.exe then you need to apply all the microsoft updates to patch your system. If you are not running a firewall and antivirus software, be advised that an unprotected system can be found and infected within 10 minutes of going online!

Best thing to do is take the computer to a repair place. Resolving these issues deals with looking at registry entries, services, booting into safe mode, and trying various other techniques.

Logically, if you have to ask on how to resolve computer issues, it's a good sign you're over your head. I'm not trying to be sarcastic, just giving advice.
