Are there any "true" game show hosts? Why are most game show hosts out of work (or current) actors?

Note: This is referring to many of the newer game show hosts. The older ones tend to be "True" hosts.

I dunno but I guess out of work actors need jobs too ie Howie Mandel..you havent seen him in years and whats his job now to say 4 words every couple briefcases
