Speaking from personal experience, I was the married one in the relationship and I thought this is not going to go anywhere.. just having fun and wasting time... I'm an adult, I'm mature... I know when it is time to stop... the thing I did not factor in... You can not control who you fall in love with... sadly enough all my precautions flew out of the window.. and i fell head over heels in love with him.. maybe because i was unhappy in my own marriage... it's heart breaking..believe me.. you will get addicted ..even though you might think it is only virtual.. this is only words on a screen.. it will become more real to you than anything you have ever experienced..
Keep him as a friend... but don't get too involved... when it starts to get too real.. STOP..
Best of luck

It sounds like something could come of it if you feel guilt for talking to him. Know your limits. Try not to let it go too far but dont cut him off because he's married. I am assuming its a co worker, but even so, keep it professional. If he hits on you, let him know where he stands. If he would leave her for you he would do it to you too. A good sense of humor has landed a lot of ppl in bad situations. Its an immediate bond.

Being funny first is a way of breaking the ice, which leads to more seious conversations.Knowing that he's married you would be doing the right thing to stop,if you don't want the conversation to get serious. If you get comfortable and start sharing your troubles, and he shares his. You'll be getting in deeper than you say you want to be.

The right answer is to stop- but I know how I am personally and I would keep it up, especially if it's not going anywhere. But I know my limits, if you don't know yours then maybe you should stop. It's a shame if you were getting along well to end things.

No I wouldn't stop chatting. I am there to make friends all over the world. I have asked guys if their wife knew he was talking to me. I enjoy talking to a wide range of people. That is up to him to know how it effects his relationships.

If you know he is married, HIS WIFE KNOWS YOU'RE TALKING, he doesn't lie about anything, you don't only talk when the wife is not around, your signficant other is aware of your conversations, nothing (and I mean absolutely nothing) sexual is ever discussed and NEITHER of you have the idea or inclination to hide any part of your conversation, it is OK.

If any of that is not true, it is absolutely NOT ok.

who is to say nothing will ever come of it. there is an addiction to the chat thing. and you will miss it , when you sit down to an empty screen. i say leave him alone now before you do get to hook on his personality an humor.
