This case isn't just about race, although obviously when the police are white and the people killed are black, race becomes a part of it. But think of this: what if everyone involved was either all white or all black? Wouldn't this still be a tragedy that unarmed men are shot at 50 times by pumped up cops and one is killed and two injured, one of them severely?
By turning it into a race case (obviously Al Sharpton had something to do with the way the media and the public is looking at it), it ignores the very real issue of police over-reaction to perceived threats.

That was a bad deal my friend, but I would like to know more about it before I make a judgment. I am not taking the side of the police by any means but without the true knowledge as to what really went on I cannot make a judgment. I am sure more will come out, whether it will be the truth or not is another subject.

No.
But if I were a white person in a black society outside a strip club and the group I was with was arguing with another group and an undercover officer knew one of the guys I was arguing with had a gun, I would expect the cop to do something.
And if one of my friends said he was going to get his gun and use it on the other guys, I would expect the cop to move fast to prevent our argument from turning into something more lethal for the two groups and anyone passing by..
Then if the cop jumped on the hood of my car WITH HIS SHIELD IN PLAIN VIEW, pointed a gun at me and shouted "Police, turn off your car, show me your hands!" I would not try to hit the officer with my car.
In fact I would put my hands in plain view.
Of course I have no convictions for drug offenses, gun possession or armed robbery so I probably have a more friendly attitude toward the cops.
BTW If I were a white person in a white society and an undercover black cop jumped on the hood of my car with his shield in plain view and told me to put my hands where he could see them I would do that too.
Did the cops in NY use too much force? I don't know. What I do know is that when someone identifies himself as a police officer you DON"T TRY TO KILL HIM. That is pretty simple.
The cops in NY were trying to prevent a shooting--not start one. It is sad this happened, but turning the deceased into martyrs and the cops into the devil just because of the color of their skin is wrong.
If a white bridegroom tried to run over a black undercover cop and was shot would the news be decrying the fact that a black cop shot a white bridegroom----or the fact the white bridegroom tried to run over the black undercover cop? Think about it.

Yes. You have only stated part of the facts. You were not there. Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty. The race card is so 30 years ago.

I'm not dumb enough to tell my friend to get my gun. I'll have my gun on me going into a black society. Black people would kill white people on site. My mom was kill in a drive by in a black society by a 15 year old black kid.

For whites in a black society, blacks are STILL inferior. (It's all in the head)
