Pack up the good stuff, and donate to a local charity -- that is what my siblings and I did with the clothing that my parents left behind after their deaths.

You could give it to family members or donate it to charity and get a tax write off. Places like the Salvation Army, GoodWill, nursing homes, churches....etc.

If it doesn't have sentimental value for you, then you can sell anything that has any "worth" and give away anything you see reasonable, anything else just have picked up by "bulk pick up" or throw it away. If you dont want to get rid of it, then maybe you can get a storage room if you want to keep it, but just not around you.

Donate it to Goodwill or Salvation Army. They'll wash it before they sell it. You can take the tax deduction.
