I'm truly sorry this has happened to you. So, was your boss nice about it, or was she kind of be-little-ing? You say she made you feel like a small child. You know, we all have our bad days. Guess what else? We ALL make mistakes! I bet SHE has even made a few mistakes herself. Try not to feel stupid. Did you apologize for the mistakes? If not, do so if you feel you can. Try so hard to concentrate totally on your job and I think you will be fine. IF, though, she is not nice about the "writing you up thing" then I'd look for other employment. Not as a cop out, but sometimes women bosses can be a little...ya know! what's up with the internet priv. being taken away. Sounds like a little bit of a power trip to me. Just go in there tomorrow with a smile on your face and confidence about you and have a wonderfully beautiful day!

Do NOT feel bad. Any position in the hospitality industry is very stressful, but especially working in a hotel- all the business clients, people in a hurry, people that just want to pick fights and complain regardless of what you do. You have to eventually just maintain a certain amount of detachment...but still stay concerned. So, don't let your stupid boss affect you, but think about whatever it is you screwed up on and find out how you can improve. Seriously, go back to work with a smile on your face- it is a strong virtue to be able to take criticism, even if its unfounded. Good luck!

I can sympathize with you a little. Ninth in my class, marching band captain, choir section leader, treasurer of my class, secretary of the Student Council, and treasurer for TATF. Assistant to the choralares director, pianist in the Jazz Band, soccer, indoor track, indoor soccer, ski boarder, skier, and tennis player. Here is the short hand version of what I do at school.
My math teacher recently informed me that I am doing to much and should drop my extracurricular activities to focus more on math because I got an 88% average last marking period. She then told me that I should be getting 100% on everything.
Life can suck. BUT, don't let it get to you. Shrug this off, relax and try to prove to your boss that she made a huge mistake and should be apologizing to you. No employee should be reprimanded for a small mistake. Encouragement is better.

Take a hot bath, relax, enjoy your night. Have a better day tomorrow. Good luck!!

I work as a receptionist and as the lowest person on the ladder, I get this from the other employees all the time. I'm constantly reprimanded for taking messages, NOT taking messages, filing, NOT filing etc etc. They can't make up their minds what they want and everyone (assuming I'm quite simple, seeing as i work ONLY as a receptionist) talks down to me in a really rude manner... sometimes I leave the office in tears because I get so frustrated at the way I'm spoken to.

The way I deal with it is by using my downtime to look for and apply for better jobs! The sooner I get out of here, the better for my sanity. Noone deserves to be spoken down to, no matter what their station. I suggest you follow my lead and do something positive for yourself - find a better work environment.

Least said, soonest mended. Go tomorrow with your head held high and a smile on your face. Everyone has setbacks at work, but showing up with a good attitude will go a long way toward rectifying things. Good luck!

Go to work with your chin up and impress them. Show them that they're nothin without you. It's better showing them that you are happy because feeling sad doesn't help much.
