Other than bleach and a scrub brush :) My basement is unfinished, all concrete. (Water problem is now taken care of)

i would wither use bleach or hire someone. i would also purchase a dehumidifier. we have one in our basement that runs all year as do most people around my area (cape cod). even if you think the moisture prob is gone it may return. good luck, n

I'm a general contractor and bleach is the best thing to get rid of mold, but be very careful! Open all windows and buy a mask at a hardware store. Also invest in a dehumidifier so the problem doesn't reoccur. Also it is a good idea to paint your basement with a sealer specifically to stop seapage into the walls.

Bleach is your friend and molds worst enemy, It will take quit a bit of time and bleach to get it all. Good Luck

You answered your own question. First stop the water source. then clean with a brush and bleach.

Sorry! You have the correct idea(just a lot of work). Keeping the moisture at bay is the only way to keep it from gaining a new foot-hold. Again,sorry about the work ahead! ;-)=
