I've heard various opinions and argument both for and against performing oral sex on a woman, from medical reasons to religious and ethical ones. What's your opinion on this, and why do many women shun it in the bedroom and are ashamed of even talking about it?

By mature, I meant adult females who are sexually active. I don't expect some 12 year old to be answering me...at least I would hope not.

For some I know that don't really care for it are shy and/or embarrassed that they may smell funny or bad.
I myself looooove it and obviously I am not ashamed to talk about it. Some people just have a hard time openning up to the idea of sexuality when there's nothing wrong with it, obviously depending the time and place.

I don't know how mature you're talking, but I'm 39, and women in my generation don't shun it at all! I personally enjoy the hell out of it, but only to climax once. Any more and it just gets very uncomfortable and not at all pleasurable. If you're talking older than my generation, it's just the values that were common, that cunnilingus is a ditry and shameful thing. It's not any different than giving oral pleasures to a man. i'm not sure what mature is to you. i'm 34 and i love oral giving and recieving. certain cultures raise women to be ashamed of their bodies and of pleasure. lots of cultures are patriarical and women shouldn't talk openly about sex or what pleases them.
