Well your choices are don't go- which to me would mean she wins.
Go and tell everyone what a 'ho she is and risk having a confrontation. Husband loses job (would serve the cheating bastard right, but that's your deal, not mine)
Go and be the bigger person, but you will probably be fuming the whole time if she puts on a show. I would definitely be saying no to any lovin with the husband that night if I had to put up with her!
It would be great if there were some anonymous way you could get the word out about her. Someone has to have photos or negatives of her doing something nasty to someone's husband or something.

Who the hell does she think she is, giving your husband orders like that.If it was me l would certainly go and do my best to ignore her and if you can't, meet up with her in the ladies room that will certainly put the wind up her, see how smug she is then !!! You said it was fun last year and you can make it fun again !! Why do you say you can't do anything to your husband or he'll loose his job ?? What the two of you do in the privacy of your own home has nothing to do with anyone else !! I am a great believer in that big wheel ( what goes around, comes around ) She will eventually get her own back and hopefully you will be around to see it and laugh at her expense. It will give you great satisfaction if nothing else. Just bide your time, trust me truth always prevails in the end. Don't let her upset you otherwise she will think she has won !! First of all, your husband had the affair as well.
You should be the queen of cool and class. That speaks volumes more than some skanky woman who is bitter and fake.
Keep your cool, smile occasionally. Do not hang on your husband....walk around and mingle. Do not talk about "her" while there with anyone!!! Go out of your way to look nice, but not over the top. Remember that woman that gossip, speak loud, call attention to themselves just make everyone else around them uncomfortable. Stay classy, calm and cool. You will be remembered for that.
You may want to rethink how important the house is to you.

I wouldn't play myself like that and be in the same room with a chick that slept with my baby and dared him to bring me. Your husband is not required to attend a personal party in order to keep his job - bullshit. Take the money that you were going to spend on the gift and spend a quiet weekend with your husband at some resort . I don't know where you live but do something like the Poconos, Dude Ranch, Vegas weekend (not very expensive at all). Trust me you'll have more fun and reduce the risk of making yourself look like an idiot.

Hmmm....well if he would get fired if he does not go then I guess you best go...HOWEVER DO NOT let him go alone! Remember it takes TWO to have a affair so its not just HER that was wrong he was too. Now what YOU should do is go...make sure you look VERY HOT have a GREAT time do NOT say a word to her till you are ready to go home....then when you are SURE no one can hear you just smile and say " Gezz I really don't see why he was screwing you when he has this waiting at home....at least he could have found a hottie to play with"

Both of you should attend, walking in holding hands and enjoy yourself. Obviously, you are still with him so there's something that kept you in the marriage.
This could be a test for him to see how he acts around her. You both should lay down ground rules of behavior (on both your parts).
Unless he has to talk to her, he should have as little interaction with her as possible. This holds true when he is at work too.
It might be time for him to find a new job.

It's funny I went through the same thing as you are now only my problem happened 9 years ago.I couldn't wait to get to the Christ mas party to see the whore my husband left me for.He moved back in with me 6 months before the party.Her heart was braking and I wanted to rub her face in it. We got there and she did not show up.DAM IT!

So you feel that way about her...what about your husband. SHE wasn't the only one involved in the affair. Your husband made a CHOICE as well. He deserves at least HALF of the hostility you show towards her.

Your Husbend wont go without you will he ?. It sure would be a shame if someone were to slip a bunch of laxative in her drink or food !Desolve laxative in about 1 table spoon warm water,add it to her drink or food , if it's possible ! You should go to the party and have fun!Make it one to remember !

I'm married and if something like that happened to me. I would definitely go to the party and kill her with kindness. I know thats hard but all she's expecting out of you is to not enjoy yourself forget her
