I drink lots of water everyday and eat fruits veggies and no bjunk food, how long will it take to reduce my overall risk of lung cancer given what I told you?

I've heard that after ten years, an ex-smoker has the same lung cancer risk as someone who has never smoked. The relatively small number of cigarettes you smoked will make your overall risk less than that of a person who smoked more heavily, but, as I understand it, that somewhat elevated risk persists for ten years anyway, as any pre-cancerous changes in your lungs can take that long to develop into cancer.

I hope you quit in time! Sounds like you are now doing a lot of things right. Generally healthy habits make it less likely that cancer cells will be able to destroy normal cells, so keep up the good work!

I don't think anything can lower it. The damage was done after the first puff.
