we use a heater for white noise and he seems to sleep better with the noise and the heat. Are there any health risks to letting his room get very warm?

You really should not keep him overly warm. It is a fact that some babies do not respond well to heat and fail to adjust themselves. It could prove fatal. Keep the room comfortable for him, neither too hot or cold. Use blankets so you can remove or add as needed. Perhaps a cd or tape of soft music or a musical mobile will soothe him just as well as the white noise and heat. Try it and see.

LOL! i don't be attentive to any 4 month olds who sleep in the process the night. that's actually unreasonable to anticipate it at that age. basically because of the fact your first daughter did, does no longer mean your 2nd will, have confidence me. My 2nd is basically approximately 11 months and nonetheless wakes 2-three times a night. She woke each and every a million-2 hours until she became into 7 and a nil.5 months previous, then woke 3-5 situations and now's all the way down to 2-three times (except she is teething or ill, and precise now she is the two and infrequently slept final night in any respect). My first slept in the process the night (7pm-7am) at 6 months previous. If there became right into a magic answer, each and every infant might STTN from start. It;s area of being a discern. she would be in a position to sleep by sometime. could be day after today night, or it may be next 365 days.

My son also loves white noise, so I turn the radio on a static station (no music playing, just pick a random station on your radio tuner) and he loves it

It seems like that might work a little better, and then you don't have to worry about how hot the room gets. Overheating is a concern with SIDS.

I would keep it between 60-65 degrees. Too much heat while she is sleeping might dry her nose up and make it harder for her to breath. Also, don't bottle her up in the bedroom by keeping the door closed. Open the door to let the heat circulate.

Yes-first of all one of the cause of SIDS up until age 1 is overheating.Second-it is very dangerous because they can catch fire so easily.
My son had trouble sleeping too and we bought on ebay a small white noise maker that attached to his crib-try something like that-much safer.

Babies should sleep in well-ventilated and somewhat cool rooms. You do increase your chances of SIDS when babies get overheated. We use an air purifier for white noise. It works like a charm and it doesn't emit heat.

you should never put your baby in a situation that u yourself would not be comfortable in, that's the rule of thumb. can it hurt him/her i don't really know although i know for me and my 2 year old we get real stuffed up and cant breath well if its too warm try using a vaporizer or humidifier to counteract the heat or in place of the heater. Good Luck!
