try ebay - just be sure that you don't buy one that sticks you into a contract. And before you buy, get the number on the back of the phone and call it in to make sure that it's not stolen (i think it's called the esn). I got a $275 phone for just about $75 (including shipping) and it was brand new. Good luck!

If you know someone in your family that has a cell phone plan, you can usually add a line for $9.99. You would have to get on a family plan. It's an inexpensive way to get onto a good plan with minimal cost.

Ubid.com has good phones for a pretty cheap price. Also, you can just wait until your contract has to be renewed and then you can renew you contract and get a new phone for a cheap price.
