My 8 month old woke up with a fever tuesday morning and wasnt feeling well at all. She had about 10 ounces of milk and slept most of the day and had really loose stool. Tuesday morning her temperature was back to normal and she was being her normal self. But still she has very loose stool. I was looking at her gums today and they look slightly raised where the teeth are suppose to come in in the middle but i dont see the tooth itself. Did your baby have extremely loose stool when teething? Also, how long does it usually takes for the teeth to come in when a baby is experiencing all this? Is there anything I can do to help her stool not be so loose....its been coming all out of her diaper and im changing her clothes everytime she goes.

every time my daughter cut a tooth she got diarrhea. It sounds like she is teething. especially since you mentioned the sleeping situation, raised gums and the loose stool. I don't know of anything that can help harden up the stools except maybe give her a little more rice cereal, not oatmeal, because it is a stool softner. My daughter usually had the diarrhea and the fever for just a few days but it still took a little longer for the tooth to come all the way in.

It sounds like teething, put some baby ambasol on her gums get some teething rings and applesauce and some baby tylenol or motrin. It just depends on the baby on how long it takes. I had one baby at work have all of her back teeth push in at once and she would scream, run a fever, and have frequent bowel movement.

Sounds like teething. Try the "BRAT" diet for the diarrhea. Bananas, rice (baby rice cereal), apples or toast. Good luck!
