Brady was shot in the head and I think he is still alive. Numerous people have survived bullet wounds to the head. Some resulted in significant brain damage and others didn't.
It would depend upon the caliber and load (amount of powder), distance, angle, whether or not the bullet was deflected at all, and where the bullet hit.
We only use a tiny portion of our brains so brain injuries are survivable. Some parts are used for controlling our vital organs and damage there will likely kill us. I think the biggest danger from such a wound is internal bleeding.

Shot in the head, the only way I could drown would being stuck out in the water for hours or being pulled down by something because I'm a good swimmer so neither of those sound as quick as being shot. If I'm going to die I'd rather it be quick.

I knew a man in Alaska, who was shot in the head at close range, by a .25 caliber pistol. He was hit at least 7 times, but he did not even know he was shot. He developed a headache and went to the Doctor to see why. They found all the slugs flattened against his skull, between skull and skin. So, it is more than possible. The moral of this story is; do not use a pimp's weapon to do a real job.

It is possible to live after being shot in the head. You don't necessarily die immediately even when it does kill you. I remember reading a newspaper article about a little boy who had been shot towards the nape of his neck one night while sleeping and he survived without any brain damage.

People don't ALWAYS die after being shot in the head but I'll say the chance of survival is not good.

WIll you die if you get shot in the head?

Maybe, depend son where you get shot, if the bullet punctures the skull, you can die from bleeding. If the bullet puntures the brain, you can die form brain damage. If it's a hollow, then yeah you go bye bye.

Yes, you can die, or survive. I actually saw a case ( with x-rays) on t.v. not long ago where a woman got shot in the head and lived with the bullet lodged in her head. They couldn't remove it surgically because it was too dangerous due to the location, but she was okay.

First of all, we all will die.

But if someone can survive getting shot in the head, the answer is yes. It all depends on the area of the head (and specifically the brain) that gets hit.
