So my hubby has just become a manager and has around 30 ppl under him. We just moved our whole family for the job so money is very tight...but I think it would be nice for him to give them something. Any ideas of something easy and exepensive? Something you would like if your boss got you, for the tought of it?

Good ideas but I should add they are ALL guys and that he is a Chef so they fix each other food all the time!!

You could give all of them a Christmas ornament. I order from Oriental Trading Co. and get an ornament with the year on it or with space for their name to be marked on it.

Have him throw a lil Christmas Dinner/Party/ Get Together. It could become a Christmas tradition for this job. Have everyone bring a potluck item, have some wine and cidar, then treat them to a lil gift. Make sure all the gifts are sort of the same, no taking favorites.

A gift sack of candies... buy a mix of candies like snack sze snickers , hersey kisses etc and make them up into pretty little gift bags . Ties them with curled ribbon and hand made gift tags... your kids could help make out the gift tags.
My old boss did this and everyone thought it was nice ! You can get the pretty and cheap cello bags at any party store!

Is there any way he could give them some extra time off from work, say like extended lunch hours? Have an office party and surprise them with some free time. I think we could all use that. If not, have the party anyway and give them coffee mugs (they can be used at work too!!), candles, books, candy, cookies. It really is the thought that counts.

A Christmas kitchen towel is nice. {the small ones} Roll them up and put in seperate little Christmas bags. Those are delightful. You can get those cheaper at Big Lots, Dollar Store and Family Dollar.
