If you use the mini fairy type of outside lights the cost will be minimal. Probably no more than 2-3 dollars for the next month. Get creative! Do some large bushes or small trees! Have a Great holiday! ;-)=

Depends how many lights you put out there. I did not notice the extra cost. Use the little lights - they don't burn as much energy. Also, put the lights on a timer so they are only on for a few hours each night. I think some people waste a lot of money when they forget to turn off the lights each night and things stay on around the clock.

We have our entire roof lined (all 4 sides), designs in the middle of the roof, icicle lights, arches in the yard, a spiral tree in the yard, and a few other decorations. The electric bill didn't go up that much, however you need to be sure to turn the lights on when it starts to get dark and turn them off when you go to bed. If you only leave them on for a few hours, it won't be that bad. You can also make sure to turn off other lights and things in the house while you have them on to minimize power usage.

It will be only nominal if you choose a series light of tiny bulbs and only the Christmas Star, also with Zero Watt Bulb inside. The happiness is worth more than the nominal increase in the bill. If you believe in penny pinching at festival occasions, it is better you don't put up any lamp.

It only changed my bill by about $5 at the most,I don't leave them on for long hours, only for about 4-5 hrs then turn them off. I also use Miniature lights which burn less elec too. I have mine all around my house outside and inside as well.

Go for it, dude. You'll spend more on the light than on the electricity. Have fun, go nuts. You might have a $5 higher light bill.
It's Christmas, for Christ's sake! :)

I'd turn them on from dusk until you go to sleep, if you're worried about the cost. 5-10 more maybe, depending on how many lights you use.
