I searched google, and found 481,000 pages of info on the Pawnee Nation (tribe). Try again, without using the www. Hope this helps you.

Which part of you is native american? We don't come in "parts" or "percentages". You are either a tribal citizen, (in which case you are native american) or you aren't, in which case you have native ancestry. But YOU aren't native american. But to answer your question- "war" between tribes wasn't the same thing as European war, which was a virtually constant thing. Many tribes don't even have a word for war. Battles were fought over territory, yes, and according to our stories, sometimes wars even had the occasional fatality. Fighting was more about proving you were stronger and braver than your enemy, and not so much about killing. Yes, there were also raids. The Comanche were the most feared raiders. They could launch a raid from a hundred miles away and rode through the night, then vanished. There were other tribes who were traditional enemies, but don't imagine they were engaged in anything like the wars of Europe.
