I have to write an equation for the line that contains each pair of points (in slope int. form).

(3,4) (3,-3)

I did the x and y part to get slope, but i keep on getting y=4 as an answer instead of x=3 (which is the real answer).

The slope is undefined because you cannot divide by zeros. Slope = (y1-y2)/(x1-x2). In your question, x1-x2 = 0 => Undefined slope. but if you want a vertical line, it's x=3.

well I learned to find the slope in 3 way, but 1 is with an equation:
m=y2-y1/x2-x1

so -3-4=-7 and 3-3=0 so -7/0
-7/0 is a fraction and it is a undefined slope, which is a vertical line that is up and down
so the answer is x=3

y=4

The slope is (y_2 -y_1)/(x_2 - x_1), or the
difference of the y coordinates / the difference
of the x coordinates. Since x_2 - x_1 = 0,
the slope is undefined, so the line is a vertical
line whose equation is x = 3.

Alright, so you find the slope:

4-(-3)/3-3 <-----right? y2-y1 / x2-x1

7/0 is the slope. Since you can't divide by zero, the slope is undefined.......that's what I got, anyway.

it truly is worry-free. because you recognize the slope the placement is y=a million/2x+b they gave u a level (6,0) through providing you with the x-intercept through plugging in the point, that is 0=a million/2(6)+b remedy for b 0=3+b -3=b plug in b the reply is y=a million/2x-3
