There are lots of things that you can use.

Ammonia and water in a spray bottle to clean glass.
Baking soda as a carpet freshener or a tub & tile scrub.
Grind lemon quaters in your garbage disposal to get rid of odors.

I listed some web sites in the sources so you can look at them & print out what you want/need. Definately check out the care2 site! They give directions and recipes for a 5 item cleaning kit and that's pretty much all you'll need! I use their ideas all the time!

I hope this helps you!

Baking soda and vinegar are my favorites. Vinegar is great for counter tops and floors. You can put a splash in the bottom of your dishwasher along with the detergent and your dishes will be shiny. Vinegar also works well if you have anything with hard water stains. It is a little bit smelly but the smell goes away when it dries.

Baking soda works good for a lot of things that need to be scrubbed. It works great for getting burnt foods off of pans or your stove top. You can spray the bottom of your tub with vinegar, sprinkle with baking soda, and scrub off the grim.

One of the other nice things about using these is they are cheap and non toxic.

Baking soda cleans whitens and deodorizes.
Vinegar & Water is great for windows. Use crinkled up newspaper to finish drying streak free.
Salt can be used as a scouring powder.
Ice cubes will clean the blades of your garbage disposal.

Vinegar & water - grease cutter.... washing windows, mirrors, counter tops, floors ( we mop hardwood and ceramic tile floors with it )

Vinegar cuts terrible odors. (I used it to clean a deep freezer which had spoiled meat in it.... nothing else would do the trick!)

Vinegar also neutralizes enzymes in pet urine in carpet. ( put it on straight... the smell dissipates ) pets won't go back to that spot.

Hope this helps.

Be Blessed!
