That's a hard question to answer. It depends on the kinds and sizes of files you store on it.

If you store videos, games, or any large files in great numbers, then that is very small. If you just do internet and word processing, then it is very large.

Me, I have close to 1,000 gigs and I'm running out of space because I store lots of videos on my PC.

My sister only has 40 gigs and she'll never fill it because she doesn't do video stuff.

I would say 150 gigs is a good place to start. If you find yourself running out of space, then just get a larger one.

Thats farely large hard drive if you dont store alot of files such as movies and video which take up space very quickly. Lets see i have about 100 GB of just movies/videos which is 110 GB. This is rare thought cause not many people have these many videos tho. if you just plan on using it for games or music or simple work files, you should be fine with space

You may have a 160GB or a 200GB hard drive, which is average. You don't want to fill up a hard drive, leave 20% of the drive open. That is needed for defrag to run efficiently.
