A simple scan for a computer virus is most likely. There are sys admin tools that can actually review all the web pages that you opened. For example was the Yahoo site marked as Adult in nature?
It depends on your company. For example: you were working a web search for "Women's Health" for a company assigned project and a female body part picture popped up, then you could argue that you had no way to know until it was too late. If you were opening your personal email, then that could be a problem, if it was monitored.
Do people get in trouble for such things? yeah definately.
Bear in mind the number of websites that people in your company visit. Unless your company used a website sniffer, the task is awsome. What drives me nuts is the number of people who visit known inappropriate sites on company computers.
