I have to write a shortfiction story and I have no ideas. I want it to have a humorous twist but ideas with any genre will be cool.

there is an old sad story that could be written with some humor althugh the twist is up to you .... she wants to buy him a gold chain for his watch and he wants to buy her a gold hair comb for her long hair he pawns the watch and buys the comb and she cuts and sells her hair to buy the chain now neither one possesses the need for either gift work that one out as beening funny and you have a winner

Humor and horror go together really well, that's one of the reasons why I love Stephen King ~ it's all about irony :)
