It is very highly unlikely you are pregnant.

There is a very small window of fertility for a woman each time she "passes through" her monthly cycle. If you are like 95% of the women in the world, your most fertile time is 8-15 days after your last period started. This is the time the egg is released and is in the proper "spot" to be fertilized. Since you were on your period, the egg for that month had already passed the fertilization window and is being reabsorbed into your body. The next month's egg hadn't been released yet.

If you are trying to conceive, I recommend an ovulation monitoring system. You can purchase one at any pharmacy or "big-box" retailer. These tests will indicate your most-fertile times and that's when you get to really practice baby-making!

Good luck to you either way!

Yes you can be pregnant. My mom had a period for 3 months when she was pregnant with me.

From what I've heard, it's pretty much always possible to get pregnant, but I think it's probably pretty unlikely during your period. For one thing, wouldn't the embryo get excreted with the rest?
