If your husband really doesn't want to know, tell him that you really do want to know and then have the tech tell you privately. You can choose the perfect name by yourself, but have to be very careful to keep this information from your husband. Give him choices of names for boys and girls and use the name you have chosen. Did you know the sex of the other two children ahead of time? It is actually a lot of fun to wait to find out. Congratulations on your new baby!!

Since you guys already have a boy and a girl. He probably wants a suprise this time. I understand how it feels to want to know and be prepared. I was like that...I have two boys. I might be pregnant and I am hoping for a little girl...an ultrasound would be a must for me in that case. Good luck and maybe he'll get curious if you tell him you have an ultrasound appt to be sure the babyj's ok...the ultrasound tech doesnt have to tell you guys if you ask the tech not to. :)

I would just make sure that she knows it is not for sure a boy. I understand that you don't want her to be disappointed at birth. My 3 year old son really wanted a brother because he already has a sister and when we went for my 20 week ultrasound and they said it was a girl he started bawling. Poor baby. It just took him a day to get used to the idea of having another sister. I would have hated to wait until delivery and then got that say disappointment from him. I think for him it was very important that we found out ahead of time.

I always wanted to know, when I had my last one, the screen was facing us and the Ultrasound Specialist looked away for a second when we found out right then and there that she was going to be a girl. The Specialist said she did not see so she could not be sure, but we definitely knew. I think it prepared him more for what was coming next. He could tell his family what to prepare for and for us it just made things easier all round. Just my opinion. Good Luck!

well the only problem with you finding out secretly is if you happen to accidently slip and tell your husband. I'm with you though... I wanted to know what my baby was going to be when I was pregnant. wanted to be prepared. Try talking to your husband and see why he doesn't want to know. either way i hope you have a healthy baby whatever it is. good luck

If you know and your husband still doesn't want to know, can you keep it a secret?
By being prepared means buying clothes right? So if you come home with dresses then he will definitely know it is a girl, or vice versa.
I have never had that problem, my husband has been just as excited to know as I was, so we couldn't wait.
I don't know if you can talk him into wanting to know or not. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

I personally see nothing wrong with only one parent finding out the sex, if only one parent wants to know. Just be sure not to spoil the surprise for your spouse if he really does not want to know! That could be the hardest part!
