2) can you cancel your scores or are they permanent?
3) what is this curve or w/e that i hear about? that it is better to take it in certain months than others...?

1. the score is calculated by the college board. you can take it as many times as you want, as long as you pay the registration fee. when you send scores to colleges, they receive your whole SAT profile, including all the college board tests you've taken. but don't worry, they usually just use the best ones.
2. you can cancel your scores within about a week of taking the test. after that, they're set. but there isn't much reason to cancel them.
3. the curve is just the way the college board calculates scores. if in one month most of the students get a whole bunch of problems wrong, then they'll curve it to make the average score what they think it should be. despite what people say, it really doesn't make much difference what month you take it in. take it when you're ready, and not before. remember to leave a couple of opportunities to retake it in case you don't like your score.

good luck.

when u register, they'll ask you which colleges u want to send it to, if any. The only theing the colleges will looka t is critical reading and math.
YOu cna take the sat's as many times as you want, and you send whichever scores you want. You can also send the scores after you see them.
And the curve is based on how well everyone else did. So if it was super easy, and you got most of them right, you might not necessarily get such a high grade bc everyone else scored high as well. So it depends, but there's no way to know in advance when it's better to take it.
Hope this helps!
