I have yet to get an agent and am not sure if I really want one. Had one in Toronto and it didn't do me much good. I wouldn't mind a few helpful hints.

you could search the net for reputable agents in your area. you know what agents are good and what are bad by the way you pay them. if you have to pay them to enter the agency, it's bad. if you pay them by what you earn that's good. hope it helps!

If you have never studied acting, call the universities in Calgary and ask to speak with someone in the theater department. Ask that person to recommend an acting school for you.
