For the most part, I would avoid most of what are considered top providers of this service. Most are batch and blast and can not guarantee delivery. Companies with their own SMTP (Email Server Software) are best.

oemPro is a versatile and feature rich email marketing system. I've deployed it in multiple business ventures. Got really good results with opt-in features, market analysis tools and list management.
One really interesting feature about oemPro is the plug-in's... Some of them can manage: sms marketing, billing tracking.
